The size L dark grey metal garden bed is 81 cm tall and can be assembled in three ways. Its tall design reduces bending when tending plants and offers plenty of room for vegetables, herbs, berries and flowers. The dark grey finish suits both contemporary and classic gardens.

Three possible shapes from one kit

The modular panel system can be assembled to suit the shape of your site and the soil volume you want:

• Long and narrow: 240 × 60 × 81 cm, capacity 1.16 m³.
• Medium: 195 × 105 × 81 cm, capacity 1.65 m³.
• Square: 150 × 150 × 81 cm, capacity 1.82 m³.

Durable Aluzinc steel

The panels are made from 0.6 mm galvanised Aluzinc steel, which does not rot or need annual treatment like wood. The plant-safe paint helps protect the surface from the weather and everyday use. The manufacturer estimates that, with proper use, the box will last over 20 years.

Safe and practical design

• Safety edging: the rubber cover makes it more comfortable to work around the top metal edge.
• Stainless fixings: bolts and nuts for joining the panels are included.
• Open bottom excess water can soak into the ground and beneficial soil organisms can move into the bed.
• Easy maintenance: the metal surface is easy to clean and does not need regular painting.

The 81 cm high growing space is ideal for layered filling. Place branches and other slow-decomposing organic material at the bottom, compost in the middle and good-quality growing soil on top. This makes efficient use of the large box’s volume.

Size L dark grey metal garden bed – installation

1. Prepare the site. Choose a level surface and remove larger stones and weeds.
2. Choose a shape. Before final assembly, decide which of the three sizes suits your garden best.
3. Join the panels. Fasten the parts with the stainless bolts and nuts included in the kit.
4. Check and fill. Fit the safety edging, tighten the joints and add the filling material and growing soil in layers.

Use and accessories

A tall bed is ideal for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuces, herbs and root vegetables. Position plants according to their height and light requirements. Mulching the soil surface helps retain moisture in summer and reduces weeds. With this size L model you can also use a matching plant arch.
